Hawai`i State Legislature to Reconvene

On March 16th 2020, the Hawai`i State Legislature in an unprecedented move, suspended the 30th Legislative Session due to the COVID-19 crisis.

The Hawai`i State Legislature will reconvene on Monday, May 11th to allow legislators to address the anticipated $1billion budget shortfall.

The public will be able to participate in the legislative meetings virtually and only written/electronic testimony will be allowed.

Please note that the legislature will be complying with both social distancing and applicable interisland travel requirements.

Note that the Legislature may reconvene again later (possibly in June) to address bills introduced prior to sessions suspension.
