Hawai`i Counts – Census Determines Federal Funding Received by Hawai`i – Please be part of the count

Each person counted in Hawai`i as part of the census represents $1,700.00 in federal funding.  For Hawai`i Island with our population of approximately 201,000 this equates to $341,700,000.00 per year for the next ten years until the next census is taken.  Recent events including and not limited to the 2018 eruption and 2020 coronavirus, have severely impacted our island’s economy and it is critically important that every resident of Hawai`i Island be counted to bring much needed resources to our community.

If you have not done so yet, please be counted.  Please visit Hawai`i Counts for more information and to complete the census on line.
